Zippswitch machine stop sensor

The Zippswitch sensor is a normally open pressure sensitive touch switch which utilizes proprietary and patent pending technology. It consists of two strips of low resistance, conductive material separated by insulators along its edges. An internal activator strip provides smooth and consistent switch closure upon touch. The jacket is an extruded PVC material that provides excellent environmental properties that is UV stable, dust and moisture resistant.

The Zippswitch Machine Stop Sensor is a 4-wire switching sensor that can be used by a machine operator to stop a machine. When wired to a fail-safe redundant controller, with manual reset, a safe level category 3 can be achieved. The Zippswitch Machine Stop Sensor can be used in applications were pull-cord switches are used such as assembly lines and conveyor systems. The advantage of using the Zippswitch over a pull-cord switch is that there are no adjustments needed once installed. The Zippswitch is rated for 5 to 30 V AC or DC and 500 ma max. It also features "press at any point" sensing along its length with 100% activation across the surface. Mounting is quick and easy. The Zippswitch Machine Stop Sensor features a large target area for the operator to press, hit or bump and comes with highly visible graphics and text.
