Color sensor
A color sensor generates a voltage output that represents the received color light. The output of a color sensor is typically connected to an analog to digital converter of a microcontroller which is employed to generate data for the system. Typical color sensors convert the primary color components of light, namely red (R), green (G), and blue (B) to analog voltage outputs. Color sensors typically illuminate the object and measure the intensity of the reflected light at each of a number of wavelengths. Each measured intensity of reflected light can be related to a previously measured intensity of light. Color sensors are widely used to detect color for various systems. Color sensors are used for color detection, color measurement, and color control in both open and closed loop systems.
