Fire alarm

Fire detection systems have been recognized as being useful and valuable in residential and commercial buildings in providing an early alarm in the event of a developing fire. Fire alarm systems used in buildings and such are designed to save lives and comprise a number of components including devices such as smoke and heat sensors, and audible and visible indicators. Indicators range from audio devices such as speakers, bells, horns, and sirens to visual devices such as incandescent lights, strobe lights, and illuminated exit signs. In a typical fire alarm device, a smoke sensor and a heat sensor are set in every surveillance area, and absolute values or change values of the physical quantities of substances arising from a fire are detected by these sensors so as to detect the outbreak of the fire. In a fire alarm system, a plurality of terminal devices for fire supervision such as fire detectors or transmitters are connected to a central control panel which typically is located in a control room or security office. A fire alarm system to be installed in a building comprises terminal equipments to be disposed in individual sections within a monitored area. A predetermined command signal and a data signal are exchanged between the control panel and the terminal equipments, thereby performing emergency disaster prevention.
