PushGate Push Button Technology

PushGate Push Button Technology The PushGate operatio is simple. A magnetic layer is placed within the composition of the membrane keypad and includes an opening to accommodate a metal armature. When the key is in the open position (not activated), the armature is retained by the magnet away from the electric circuit. When the key is activated, the armature is pushed away from the magnet to create a contact with the keypad circuit. The circuit is then closed. When the key is released, the armature is no longer under pressure and is attracted again by the magnet. The circuit returns to the open condition.

The thin profile push buttons are cost-effective and simple in design. It’s superior reliability and durability makes PushGate one of the leading switch technologies in the world. Its crisp, consistent tactile feel does not degrade over time — even after half a billion actuations — differentiating it substantially from conventional mechanical and membrane switches.
