Piezo transducer
Transducers typically operate at their resonant frequency with various construction options, beam patterns and power levels. Multilayer transducers
The advantage of multilayer transducers is that the improvement of the electromechanical response.
Both receive and transmit response for an n-layer array element is greatly improved, since the individual element capacitance is increased by a factor of n2. Transmit output power is greatly increased due to the increase in element electrical impedance by 1/n2.
Multilayering also decreases Johnson (thermal) receive noise by a factor of n. An added advantage of multilayering is the reduction of the transmit voltage requirement, which reduces heat and crosstalk in both the array and the electronics.

Other products from this member

Piezo sensors
Noliac Group offers customized piezoelectric vibration sensors, which are intended for general use in systems for vibration measurements and machine condition monitoring.

Piezo generator
Noliac Group offers customized ceramic single- and multilayer piezoelectric generators, which may be used as a compact source for electrical energy. As power requirements for microelectronics continue to decrease, alternatives to batteries become feasible.

Piezo transformer
Noliac Group offers customized ceramic multilayer piezoelectric transformers. Piezo transformers convert an electrical input into mechanical energy and subsequently reconvert this mechanical energy back to an electrical output.

Piezo multilayer actuator
Noliac's line of Ceramic Multilayer Actuators (CMA and SCMA) products is based on the company's advanced multilayer technology, harnessing the full potential of the piezoelectric effect at very low operating voltages.

Sonitron Buzzers & Transducers
The standard Buzzers & Transducers series are based on the highest piezo technology and are considered as most robust series for industrial applications. The standard buzzers use a special shaped membrane (curved edge), which is fixed and glued into the housing. They are shock proof, as well as dust and waterproof (IP67).
