LCD projector

LCD projectors are becoming more widely used in business applications. These types of projectors are typically used for business presentations and educational sessions, etc. Liquid crystal display panels have a number of advantages that make them useful in optical projectors, especially projectors for displaying computer generated images and portable projectors. A liquid crystal projector modulates light by liquid crystal light valves and projects an image onto a screen. The liquid crystal display device is so configured to form a liquid crystal panel which has a layer of liquid crystal composition (a liquid crystal layer) sandwiched between a pair of insulating substrates, at least one substrate of which is made of a transparent glass plate or a transparent plastic substrate. Liquid crystal display devices having an active matrix type liquid crystal display device and a high performance display quality are generally used as monitors for PCs and liquid crystal display devices for a projector. The LCD projector is mainly constituted of a light source, color separating optical elements, such as a dichroic mirror, liquid crystal elements, a color recombination prism, a projection lens. The liquid crystal projector projects a light through a projection lens to display an image on a screen with enlarging a small image displayed on a liquid crystal panel.
