A Negative Temperature Coefficient (NTC) thermistor decreases in resistance as its body temperature increases. In fact, NTC thermistors exhibit two characteristics, which make them extremely useful in a variety of applications. Their change in resistance is predicable and its is relatively large per degree change in temperature.
X Series - Interchangeable NTC Thermistors
Operating temperature range: -50oC to 150oC
Tolerance: + 0.1oC or +0.2oC from -20oC to 100oC
Dissipation constant: 2mW/oC in still air and 13mW/oC in stirred oil
Thermal time constant: Typically 0.75 second in stirred
A Series - High-Precision AT Type NTC Thermistors
Operating temperature range: -50oC to 110oC
Tolerance: + 1%, +3 or +5%
Dissipation constant: 2 mW/oC
Thermal time constant: Typically 15 seconds in air.
Maximum power rating: 10 - 15 mW (at 25oC)
J Series - Thin-Film NTC Thermistors
Operating temperature range: -50oC to 150oC.
