The Model 4215-L Smart LVDT Indicator is an intelligent microprocessor-based instrument designed for the measurement and control of dual channel LVDT (linear variable differential transformer) measurement fixtures. M4215-L combines two simultaneous sample LVDT channels, print capabilities and RS232/485 serial communication into a platform to deliver the most powerful and affordable instrumentation in its class. Model 4215-L is an Advanced Digital LVDT Meter that provides all excitation and signal conditioning necessary to operate dual LVDT expansion measurement fixtures. The average extension is computed automatically and displayed. The Model 4215-L also features analog outputs, limit switching, individual unit conversion and a two-line display. Factory options support mixing and matching of strain gage and LVDT sensor inputs. Standard features include fully bipolar range of +/-999,999 display. The resolution is 24-bit. Linearity is 0.05%. This is a two-channel simultaneous read instrument. The display is a 2-line x 20-character vacuum fluorescent display. This easy-to-use instrument has exclusive Plug and Play TEDS-Tag Auto LVDT identification. The user input text label is on the second line of the display. Model 4215-L has auto setup for 25 LVDTs. Functions include peak, valley, hold, tracking and peak reset. Quad limits output: independent, isolated solid state relays control AC or DC signals. Six user-selectable filters are standard. The tri-state limit display indicates on, off, and disabled. Automatic display unit conversion includes in, cm, and %. The D/A output is +/-10V standard, +/-5V, 0-5V, 0-10V are standard per request. Model 4215-L features a direct analog amplifier output. Full operation and calibration are via RS232. The single channel unit has optional two-line operation for simultaneous display of two quantities.
