Stage lighting
Sound effect and light effect are very important to stage performance. A good light effect provides a good background to the whole performance and makes the audience focus on the performers. Generally, the lighting accompanying with changeable sound can enhance the air on the stage such that the performance on the stage can be brought into a climax accordingly. Therefore, the lighting design is an extremely important part especially in designing a stage. Theatre lighting systems have increased greatly in complexity in recent years. The current generation of stage lighting equipment uses highly sophisticated computer based control to allow a myriad display of programmable and controllable special effects. A wide variety of stage lamps have heretofore been designed to provide desired light effect. Stage lighting systems are utilized to enhance performances and often include a number of individual stage lights which are gimbaled to pan and to tilt. Theatre lighting currently consists of a plurality of light fixtures that are manually set for all their parameters, such as aim (pan & tilt), beam colour, beam size, gobo pattern and shuttering (shaping) of the beam, focus of the edge of the projected light pool or gobo and then left that way for the current performance. Besides panning and tilting other stage light features include a fader shutter, a color scroll and a diffusion filter. All of these features may be remotely controlled to afford almost instantaneous variations in the characteristics of a beam of light issuing from an individual stage light. A spot light for stage lighting typically involves many adjustments. In addition to controlling the lamp brightness, the adjustable elements commonly include selective or replaceable color filters, a gate or an iris to control the shape of the beam, lenses, and a mount with adjustments for aiming the shaped beam.
