Ceiling light
Ceiling lighting is widely used, especially in building space dedicated to commercial or institutional use, such as offices, stores, restaurants and schools. There are many kinds of ceiling lights available, wherein, the ceiling light embedded in the ceiling is especially popular because of its dual function of illumination and adornment. A recessed ceiling lighting fixture is a common type of lighting fixture. Recessed lighting fixtures are one of the various types of lighting fixtures used to provide light for rooms, such as in homes or offices. Recessed lighting fixtures typically mount in a space over a ceiling so that the fixture is not readily seen in a room. The light from the fixture passes through an opening in the ceiling into the room. A typical recessed lighting fixture includes a frame, a reflector, a junction box and structure for attaching the frame to the ceiling. The frame includes an opening through which the reflector is inserted to direct light to an area below the lighting fixture. In this type of fixture, a housing is located recessed within a ceiling. A light bulb or lamp located within the housing is positioned so that the lowermost point is above, flush with, or extending only slightly below the ceiling. By far the most common type of ceiling lighting in offices, stores and schools is provided by ceiling fluorescent lamp tubes, which are well suited to providing a diffuse and high level of illumination. Incandescent lamps are used by restaurants, where softer, warmer and lower intensity lighting is desired. Light fixtures which are mounted on a ceiling and project down from the ceiling are typically enclosed by a variety of devices, such as a diffuser frame which conceals the sides of the light fixture and a diffuser panel held by the frame which conceals the bottom of the fixture. Nearly all ceiling lighting fixtures, both fluorescent and incandescent, include some sort of diffuser which is used to spread the light from the tube or bulb or the lamp or lamps of the fixture throughout the room, the main function of the diffuser is to hide the tubes or bulbs so people in the room cannot see the intense light of the lamps themselves. The most common diffusers are translucent glass or plastic plates, boxes or gloves or some form of grille suitably fastened to the lamp holder.
