EMI filtering solutions
PA&E's advanced ceramic filtering devices eliminate electromagnetic interference(EMI) for circuits contained in the electronic packaging of telecommunication applications. PA&E's EMI filtering solutions set new technical standards. For example, PA&E builds the smallest multi-layer discoidal capacitor in the world, measuring just 1/20th of an inch in diameter.PA&E uses multi-layer ceramic discoidal capacitors and ferrite inductors to produce "pure-signal" EMI filters for electronic circuits operating in extreme and critical environments such as space and the human body. Typical applications include communications satellites, flight hardware, and implantable medical devices.
PA&E specializes in ruggedized and completely encapsulated filters for use in electronic packaging, including microwave high-frequency packages, laser-diode miniature packages, mini filters, filter pins, broadband filters, capacitor arrays, and custom filter assemblies.

RF/microwave connectors
PA&E manufactures RF / microwave hermetic connectors from a variety of compatible shell and contact materials, in both laser-weld and solder-in styles, that provide excellent electrical and environmental performance characteristics.

Hermetically-sealed fiber optic connectors
The uniquely-controlled CTE characteristics, chemical bonding properties, and polycrystalline structure of our proprietary Kryoflex® ceramic sealing system, enables PA&E to manufacture fiber optic connectors from a variety of compatible materials. This process produces a connector exhibiting exceptional optical and environmental performance characteristics.

Sub-D hermetic connectors (.100" contact pitch)
PA&E's Sub-D hermetic connectors are compatible with lightweight materials such as Aluminum and Titanium, as well as conventional Iron/Nickel Alloys. They are designed for use in military, space, and commercial applications where environmental conditions require an extremely rugged and reliable hermetic seal.
