Power distribution busbar
Electrical power distribution busway systems are used to distribute electrical power throughout buildings. The busway includes a number of busway sections which are connected to one another by busway joints. Each busway section includes a housing that encloses a plurality of busbars which may be phase busbars, neutral busbars, or ground busbars depending on the particular application. Busbars for high currents require a large cross section which complicates the attachment of branching lines. Power distribution boxes are commonly used in automotive vehicles to simplify electrical system wiring by eliminating multi-branch wiring and consolidating fuses, relays, and other electrical components in a single location. A Power distribution box typically comprises a housing having a plurality of integrally formed external receptacles for receiving electrical connectors, fuses, relays, and other components. A busbar is contained within the housing and is supplied with electrical power by a main power cable leading to the vehicle alternator or battery. The busbar has a plurality of blade-like terminals which extend into some or all of the receptacles in order to make contact with and distribute power to the components inserted therein. Busbars are utilized for making large current interconnections between circuit elements mounted on printed circuit boards. In an electrical connection box, a busbar is housed as a wiring board connected with terminals of various electrical equipment. Such a busbar forms a laminated structure, thereby making it possible to produce complicated wiring.
