Custom Value Add Proximity Sensor Products
We are experts in custom and value-add sensor products. In addition to manufacturing the reed sensor, many of our customers choose to have MEDER electronic perform their value-add services. Proper handling and manufacturing technique as well as specialized equipment are essential to producing high quality Reed Products.Magnetic Reed Switches can be customized for your design needs. Some customization includes sorting specific magnetic sensitivity pull-in ranges and cutting and/or bending the Reed contact leads for either horizontal or vertical surface mount applications or other special mounting requirements.
All KSK and ORD series Magnetic Reed Switches with normally open, normally closed or SPDT switching functions can be customized. Various different pad layouts, length of soldering pin and magnetic sensitivity class are standard options when it comes to customizing a reed switch.
In addition to these standard options, we can also customize any switch to your own design including many value add services such as PCB assembly, epoxy sealing, conformal coating, wire termination and much more. Custom switches can also be supplied in tape and reel or other desired packaging. MEDER has the expertise and specialized equipment to ensure the highest quality during the custom reed switch manufacturing process.

In many cases, this damage or shock to the reed switch may not visible or obvious and require special testing to detect. MEDER has developed and integrated a Dynamic Contact Resistance (DCR) test into 100% of all shipped reed products to ensure defects caused by shock don't end up in the field.

LP Series 1 GHz RF Reed Relays

Ultra Mini High Performace Proximity Sensors
MEDER electronic's MK24 series Reed Sensors achieve a minimum life expectancy of 50 million operations at 5V, 5mA, 100Hz while measuring only 5mm x 1.8mm x 2.2mm. At 50 millions operations, the MK24's base reed switch, a 4mm KSK-1A04 unequivocally surpassed all other reed switches in its size class. The MK24 reed sensor is a hermetically sealed switch in a robust thermoset molded package. This tiny energy saving device requires no external power to operate.
Threaded Mount Proximity Sensors
The MK11 Series offers sensor mounting convenience with its built-in threaded portal. Used in limit switching, end position, and proximity switching applications, these MK11 Reed Sensors are offered in plastic, stainless steel, and now a new brass version. Miniature Liquid Level Sensors
A new line of compact liquid level sensors that are more reliable than mechanical switches and are an alternative to costly Hall effect sensors is being introduced by MEDER electronic. MEDER LS-Series Liquid Level Sensors are made from corrosion-resistant materials and feature magnetic floats which activate reed switches when the liquid level rises or falls, as desired, and then provides an output signal. The LS05 Liquid Level Sensors reach new levels. High Voltage Single In Line Relay
Miniature SIL HV Series High Voltage/High Current Reed Relays in an epoxy sealed, single-in-line package measuring only 24mm x 6.4mm x 8.9mm. MMS 2.8mm Implantable Magnetic Switch
MICRO MACHINED SENSOR NEEDS NO POWER A new, ultra-small magnetically actuated reed sensor that requires no power and is designed for switching CMOS gates and other low power devices such as implantable medical pacemakers and insulin pumps is being introduced by MEDER electronic. MEDER MMS Reed Sensors are magnetically actuated on/off sensors that feature no power draw and measure only 2.8mm x 2.Omm sq. (0.110" x 0.08").
KSK-1A04 4mm Reed Switch Series
KSK-1A04 Series Reed Switches are magnetically actuated, ultraminiature, low power reed switches. Designed with flat lead terminals they provide consistent contact orientation and larger contact soldering surface in SMT applications. KSK-1A04 Series Reed Switches, at 4mm in glass size are currently the smallest reed switch offered by MEDER electronic and the world's smallest reed switch with flat contact terminals.
Horizontal Float Liquid Level
Three new versions of Level Sensor Series LS03 have been introduced into the market to meet the wider demands of our customer's more specialized application needs. Thus far, the LS03 Level Sensors were only capable of mounting to the inside of the liquid container or reservoir. These level sensors can be externally mounted to devices such as in modern air conditioners, cooling devices, high-pressure cleaners and many other technologically advanced household appliances.
Miniature 7 GHz RF Reed Relay CRF Series
The CR series is our smallest and most versatile instrument grade reed relay series. The CRF Series has a flat insertion loss curve from DC up to 7 GHz, attained by keeping the signal path as short as possible and using an internal coaxial shield with a consistent 50 Ohm impedance path. Not only is it excellent with RF signals, but is also great for digital signals where the skew rates or effects on the rise time of fast digital pulses is less than 40 picoseconds through the relay.

A new series of patented ferromagnetic proximity switches that operate in the presence of a ferrous metal, rather than requiring actuating magnets, is being introduced by MEDER electronic. MEDER MK02 Series Ferromagnetic Metal Detection sensors are single component devices, which sense magnetically conductive materials directly without the need for two separate magnet and sensing elements.
7 High Voltage/ High Current Relay Sereis
MEDER electronic features a full line of reed relays offering high voltage and high power configurations for PCB mount or free-standing applications. MEDER High Voltage Reed Relays are designed to switch high voltages, stand off even higher voltages, and carry very high current levels.
1.5GHz RF MIcro Single In Line Reed Relay
Quests for smaller and smaller designs in connection with fast microprocessors set continuing challenges to relay manufacturers. To fulfill these quests, MEDER has expanded the MS Series for applications with higher frequency. The new MSRF05-1A87-75L is a Reed Relay designed in a miniature single-in-line package measuring 15.2mm x 3.8mm x 6.8mm (L x W x H). This new package size takes up half the space of a conventional reed relay.
Surface Mount Reed Switches
MEDER electronic's MK23 Series Reed Sensors have expanded with the addition of our new MK23-90 Reed Sensor. The MK23- 90-C-2 is a Single-Pole Double-Throw switch with a 14mm glass body. This SPDT (Form C) surface mount sensor comes in two lead designs, lead design 1 (straight cut axial lead) and lead design 2 ("Gull Wing" with coined bent leads). The MK23-90 sensor comes in 5 contact sensitivity ranges.
Dual In Line Reed Relay Sereis
A full line of molded reed relays offered in dual-in-line package for a wide variety of test and measurement, telecommunications, and security equipment applications are available from MEDER electronic. MEDER DIP Series Molded Reed Relays feature high voltage versions in 1-Form-A, 2-Form-A, 1-Form-B, and 1-Form-C packages. Providing high resistance coils up to 2000 W 12 VDC, with up to 4.25 kVDC breakdown voltage, DIP are offered with an internal diode and magnetic shields.
