Power window

Power windows are standard equipment in many vehicles manufactured at the present time. Power window systems are the systems to push up and pull down automobile windows by means of regulators driven by electric motors. Power window apparatuses have been widely used in automotive vehicles to facilitate driver's operations for opening and closing window glasses of a vehicle. In such a power window system, a vehicle passenger operates his or her seat switch so that the motor drives a slide member of a regulator up or down to open or close the corresponding seat window. A power window system consists of a regulator coupled to the window and driven by an electric drive motor. One standard motor comprises an output shaft connected to a worm associated with a gear wheel. The gear wheel is connected to an output member coupled to the regulator. A power window glass of a power window installed in the vehicle is connected to a driving motor and is operated to be raised or lowered by rotating reversibly the driving motor through operation of a switch. During normal operation a window is closed by the activation of a switch. When the switch is activated the window travels to a fully closed position.
