Coaxial connectors are used to connect cables to respective terminals on electrical equipment and related housings, as well as to other cables. Coaxial cable assemblies are commonly used for transmitting electrical signals over a length of coaxial cable. Coaxial cable connectors are commonly used to terminate coaxial cables. Coaxial connectors are comprised of a pair of a male connector and a female connector. Those connectors are generally classified into two types: straight type and right-angle type, according to their configuration. Coaxial connectors include a center contact closest to the connector axis, a second contact that lies around and coaxial with the first contact, and possibly one or more additional contacts that lie around the second contact. Coaxial cable connectors such as F-connectors are used to attach coaxial cable to another object such as an appliance or junction having a terminal adapted to engage the connector. For telecommunications applications with signal frequencies below 2 gigahertz, the most common type of connector is F-connector that includes a male F-connector part and a female F-connector part. A male F-connector is typically used to terminate a coaxial cable. A female F-connector may be used to join two cables together or to connect a cable to a device. A switch-equipped coaxial connector is widely used in a mobile phone provided in an automobile for switching between an inner antenna of the mobile phone and an outer antenna of the automobile. Other coaxial cable connectors include use of an electrical socket that include cantilever spring tines which terminate in a convex cross section at their free ends. Another coaxial cable connector uses a circular sleeve having a plurality of spaced-apart, axially oriented tines.
